Faculty Of Art Education _ Helwan University

The College was established in 1937 by the Department of Painting at the Institute of Higher Education for Teachers. Based on Presidential Decree No. 75 of 1957, the sections of the Institute of Higher Education for Teachers were transformed into specialized independent higher institutes. The drawing department was transferred under the name of "Higher Institute of Art Education for Teachers" Dependency of the Ministry of Higher Education. On the other hand, the first department of Fine Arts was established in 1935 as an extension section of the Institute of Education for Teachers. In 1943, it became an institute for girls. Then, the Department of Art Education took over the Higher Education Institute in a special department in the name of the Institute of Education for Teachers. The Institute of Art Education for Teachers and Teachers was established under the name of "Higher Institute of Art Education" at its current headquarters. In 1975, the Institute joined Helwan University as "Faculty of Art Education".
