The story of the origin of Aswan University was established in 1974. It was established as a branch of the University of Assiut first, then moved from Asyut University to South Valley University since the presidential decree establishing the South Valley University in 1995, and then separated from South Valley University By Republican Decree No. 311 of 2012.
