About
The Faculty of Medicine of Al-Azhar for Boys was established in Cairo under Ministerial Decree No. 103 issued on 5 July 1961. The foundation stone of the college was established in Nasr City, Cairo, in 1963, and the preparatory group was received by the Faculty of Sciences of Al-Azhar in October 1964. The College received the students of the first class in October 1965. The system of study begins with the Institute of preparation and guidance. In October 1963, where students studied some secondary and Islamic subjects for one year as a prelude to joining the Faculty of Medicine. The name of this study was later referred to as the Qualifying Division and the graduate student studied the Islamic subjects for one year before joining the Faculty of Medicine. The right of the Faculty of Medicine at the secondary recipients of Al-Azhar and high school students at the Institute Achievers preparation and direction (the band later qualifying).
