College of medicine was established in 1947 under the name of "Demerdash Medical College " and was affiliated then to the University of Fuad I (Cairo University), then moved to ain Shams University with its rise in 1950, the College is considered as the third Faculty of Medicine after the Cairo and Alexandria.
